Anna's Hummingbird on mountainside above Palm Springs, Ca
On the mountainside at about 800 feet above Palm Springs, this bird entertained me with a dance in which it repeatedly flew high in the air, then dove almost to the ground, emitted a call, returned to about 20 feet above the ground, hovered for a second, then repeated the sequence.01/08/2008
